My inventory in the warehouse holds 30 items, but it says it is like 36/30???

Did you buy some items from the Auctions?
Inventory going over the limit can happen when you bid on things in the auctions, then fill up your warehouse (through exploration etc), and then win the bid from the auctions. Normally your warehouse would have been full, but because you already bid on the auction prior, you still get the items to keep you from losing the money / items.
