hi everyone!
so I caught glimpse of this fine place from over on Flight Rising (a dragon sim) - and thought I'd give it a swing!

any tips, conversation and encouragement would be amazing! it seems the idea monster on here is tough to get!

i'm having particular trouble catching new pets... but alas, perhaps it is only patience :)

hello!

also, if anyone plays Flight Rising, let me know!

Hey there!

tips: expand your warehouse as soon as possile (at least to lvl 2) so you don't have to sell items you might need later. Collect raw materials rather than selling them to make money, you might need them later. adopt pets from the pond, some of them are actually quite good! and if you see one with a really high level, adopt it, even if you do not plan to breed with it, they are incredibly usefull at explorations. Always remember that, only because a pet has many reds it doesn't mean it's useless. it might have some good hidden genes to breed. Read the FAQ, there are many tips in there.

conversation: Hey there, how are you? what are you trying to breed? I'm going to breed Gryphons and Cockatrices, but I'm trying to level them up first.  Where are you from? I'm from Germany. I'm not really good at holding converrsations, but it's nice that you are here.

encouragement: You can do it! you are awesome! I don't really know you but I'm sure of it!

Oh, and about catching wild animals, I decided to wait until I have a cartographers guild.

awww Loki thank you so much for this!
I was worried there weren't many active folks on the forums ;___;

It's so nice to meet you!

And thank you for the advice - I haven't sold anything yet, as I'm quite the hoarder anyway haha, so that's good to know! I'm looking to breed Roc's and Unicorns probably :D though I do really like Cockatrices as well! Perhaps we can tag team that once I get going a bit more?

I actually caught a Puma, but she's pretty plain.. im excited to get a pet with some interesting markings :D also my tutorial breed has birthed! a pretty (plain..but still okay!) unicorn c: yayyy!

I appreciate that you started conversation, I think you did great haha!

Throdamas seem pretty awesome, but I'm to afraid that the good genes are hard to come by. So I really wish you luck with them :-) what kind do you want to breed (first) ?

if you decide to breed cockatrices or gryphons let me know ;-)

And thanks for the thumbs up to my conversation skills :-D

Hello and welcome :)

I just read your posts and just wanted to add to the topic of capturing wild pets: I would suggest holding off until you have the Cartographer's Guild like Loki suggested. The Cartographer's Guild helps you see where pets are. Once you know how pets move, it is MUCH easier to determine where they will be next turn and capture successfully. I actually started writing a guide about catching pets a long time ago but never got around to finishing it. And then my harddrive died so everything I had on it died with it, including the guide xD

Also, feel free to take a look at the pets in my FREE Giveaway group. If you see any in there you like, let me know. I started a giveaway for them in another thread http://beastkeeper.com/thread/5168 :)

Oh hiya solk! I have equally no idea how this game works, so far, except it seems to operate on Mendellian genetics which is hella rad to my inner science nerd.

also I'm counting down how long it takes you to become a millionaire on here, too XD
