All the items over the 999 limit seem to be locked on the amount we had at the time this change was introduced. I tried destroying clay - started out with 1498, selected 5 to be destroyed and even though I got the "You have destroyed 5 Clay(s)." message, I still have 1498. Did the same with Laminaria and got the same result: message says I've destroyed 11, but the change hasn't happened.

Then I tried it with hops (which is nowhere near the limit) and it worked as it should.

The same thing is with the amount I've put in trades. Before, everything I put into a trade got immediately subtracted from my total, but now the numbers remain unchanged for all the items over the 999 limit.

I did some crafting earlier today and I think the same thing might have happened there - items getting used, while the amount I have stays the same - but I'm not entirely sure, as I wasn't really paying attention to numbers before.

ETA: And apparently I just sold 200 wood, but I still have 2013 - exactly the amount I had the moment the cap was implemented.

Thank you for reporting. You're right, there was a problem with manipulations on item quantities over 999. It must be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you!

Do you think it would be possible to go over all the trades/other activities (crafting, item exchange on the islands, etc.) that happened after the limit was implemented and before this fix to synchronise the item count? Because now there are extra items created out of thin air - so to speak. I realise this is quite a lot to go over, but right now, because of this bug, a lot of people have accidentally cheated the game and have sold/traded items without actually giving them away - and they're still stuck with the amount they started out with.

Since the change, I've sold 400 wood (and 100 clay too, I think) and I have put 600 clay and 200 stone in trades, have traded on the island, and have crafted several items that use wood, and none of that has been taken out of my total. It would be really great if all of those changes would be applied.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for caring :) We checked trade logs and actually the quantities of items that appeared due to this bug aren't so big. We didn't find anyone who used this exploit maliciously. Probably players didn't notice it at all and continued trading as usual, so thank you once more for noticing it and reporting before it broke off the limits. The surplus of items for these two days doesn't affect the balance. Those trades that are active right now will work as they should without multiplying the items.
