Hi there. I just joined today and this site looks like a lot of fun. It's very different from the sort of pet collecting games I'm used to. You might recognize me from Dragon Cave, where I spend far too much time (though I found this site through Eldemore).

Can't believe I missed the introduction guide! I thought I'd read everything. Whoops, sorry about that. Here's a bit about me:

Username: GhostMouse (but you can call me Ghost if you prefer) - I originally chose this name for a pet keeping forum, as it's the name of my first two rats, Ghost and Mouse. I also had a third, Buster. Unfortunately they have all since passed away.

Gender: Female

Colors: Most of them. I'm just not usually fond of pastels or pink. (I know, I know... *looks at avatar*)

Fav' specie: Haven't decided yet.

Likes: My pets (two dogs, Sansa and Cinder; a cat, Jax; and a bearded dragon, Glaurung), animals in general, coffee, chocolate, crafty things like sewing or cross-stitching or drawing.

Dislikes: Religion, children in general, green bell peppers, banana peppers, foods containing non-obvious meat products.

Things I'm a fan of: (In no particular order) My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Game of Thrones/ASOIAF, The Kingkiller Chronicles, The Gentleman Bastards, The Broken Empire, Lord of the Rings, Pokemon, Breaking Bad, Attack on Titan, Madoka Magica, The Walking Dead, Archer, Bob's Burgers, The Venture Brothers, and I just started listening to Welcome to Night Vale... there's more but that seems like more than enough to list.

Anything else? That's all I can think of for now...  I'm still getting the hang of this game (it seems like everything is so expensive and it's so hard to get coins...) You're free to contact me or not contace me or whatever. I'm not opposed to making some friends. :)

May I ask what breed your dogs are? Just out of curiosity .3

If you have any questions about BK feel free to ask. All the basic stuff can be found in the FAQ and Guide Forum-section. I hope you enjoy this site :3

Thank you! I've been enjoying it very much so far!

They are both shelter mutts. Sansa is a terrier mix of some kind (likely American Pit Bull Terrier), but she's also medium-haired and fluffy, so who knows. Sometimes she makes weird sounds so we wonder if there might be some Husky in her, but then again they could be terrier noises.

Cinder was born at the shelter so they know his mother was a Boxer mix with either Lab or Shepherd (possibly both) and he and his littermates all clearly have Catahoula Leopard Dog in them, as well. (Some friends of our actually adopted one of his littermates.)

Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see! (Sansa is white, Cinder is brown.)

Awww those are adorable pictures :D

I wish we could have a dog, but sadly our cats (three of them) hate dogs of any kind, so it's out of the question for now. Besides, since we have 2 kids (2 and 4), it would probably be too much work anyway, so it's for the best, but still! xD

I always wanted rats as a kid, but in the end decided against it, since they only live such short lives. I have a HUGE problem letting go of my beloved critters, so getting a pet that's bound to die in such a short time period didn't seem like a good idea..

Anyway, welcome to the site :) As Seelenblut already mentioned, most answers to questions can be found in the FAQ, but feel free to post in the Help section or send a message if you run into anything you can't wrap your head around ;)

Thank you all! I will pass the compliments along in the form of ear scratches. :D

Timain, that is exactly why I didn't end up getting more rats after my first group passed. To have them for such a short time was just too hard. One was a year old when I adopted him and I didn't even have a full year with him. :/

But anyway, I dug up some pictures if you'd like to see.

Ghost: http://i.imgur.com/q7apzt9l.jpg (He's eating watermelon.)

Mouse: http://i.imgur.com/dwp2vl.jpg

Buster: http://i.imgur.com/BQP1El.jpg

We got very lucky with our dog-loving cat. We suspect he thinks he *is* a dog.

I see pets in profile pictures... what are your pets names (and breeds, if applicable)? I'd love to see (more) pictures too!
