The trade in period for the sand is long over so if you buy it now you're just wasting money. (Unless you just want a collection of materials from the different events, that is.)

why do you need it so much? are you collecting it for some exchange trades? maybe we can help you without sand...

Most of the exchange trades are from people that haven't play for a while. And I imagie that some players still have some sand but not enough for the trades that's why lol
