Ok I have built the cartogrophers guild, And it has the magnifying glass so i can see where the pets are on the map. But when I put my catchers there sometimes it says the big field is empty or the creek is empty but it makes no sense because i saw the pet there. Can someone explain this to me?

The cartographer's guild shows you were the pets are, not where they will be. So when you prepare an expedition, by the time it's over the pets have already moved to a different den.

Basically, cartographer's guild isn't supposed to show you where the pets are, it's supposed to help you predict the moving and cycles of the wild pets.
