You can get it from exploring with your pets, it's the same food you need for your own pets.
And there isn't anything named Essence Of Famine for what I know. Or at least haven't heard about it, so if it exsiste I don't know where.

I'm missing 241, but it depend on how many rabbit meat you want per vermillion, I can possible get the rest of vermillion by exploring ^^
