No problem ;) You need the special items if you want to build the blueprints which you can just get on the battlefield including the special items. In my case I need 4 Spirits in a Jar to build a level 5 stable.
I think there a 5 blueprints where you need special items. On the news site, second page the top entry are sll blueprints and special items listed. Hope I could help you :)
