Well in my opinion its good to adopt one pet a day.Otherwise there will be people searching the Pound every day, looking for some good pets or rare colored pets and you have no chance to adopt one of them yourself. Also there are 4 ways to get pets (buying, breeding, Pound and capturing wild pets) it seems enough to me.
New pets would be cool. There are some topics in this forum already in which the phoenix was suggested
