hi there everyone :)

you ever encountered the problem that while visiting an island you found the Research Laboratory (or however it is called) and you couldn't use it because all your pets genes were already discovered ?
well, I have an idea how this could be optimised.

if you visit this building on an island with a pet which genes are fully researched, maybe you could get a coupon or a similar item which you could use on a different pet

if anyone has got a question (might happen, my english is not the best as it's not my mothertounge), just write it down :)
(sorry if this has already been suggested, I didn't find it while browsing through the suggestions-board)

greetings from Germany !

It has been suggested, but I think it was too quickly forgotton. I like this idea a lot and wish that it were implimented. It has also been suggested that if the pet was fully reserached he could "teach the laboratory something" and should recieve a vermillion in exchange for the help. :)

All in all, support

I like both ideas, though I think each one has its flaws. I don't know how often the lab shows up when exploring, but when you've got ten pets you all going exploring with, those freebies could probably add up pretty fast. One the other hand, I'm much less put off by the vermillion spent researching than the silver, and would unfortunately be a bit ungrateful for saving that item instead of the money. So what if, instead, having a fully researched pet finding a lab result in a "half off" type coupon? Make it cost less to research a gene on another pet manually, without making it totally free or just pulling out the lesser half of the equation?

It's not that common in my experiece.

The problem with that is it may be extremly confusing to code. It could perhaps be a flat rate of silver or vermillion that can only be collected once a day per pet (or a set amount a day).

I think that's a good idea.

Those laboratories are so rare, and I always stumble across them with the pets that have no unresearched genes left.  It's a bit annoying, to be honest. Would be nice to get something out of those.
