When I go exploring, the exploration log is in a different place in the browser window sometimes. Sometimes it's to the left of the island map, and sometimes it's to the right, connected to the bottom of the navigation panel. I haven't been thinking to keep track of whether this is tied to specific pets or breeds, because I didn't find it bothersome, I just thought it odd.

Its tied to levels - Level 10 and under has the map show up on the left, while levels 11 and up have it show up to the right.

Since the exploration map increases in size at level 11, 21, 31, and 41, the log moves to the right to make space so the new map will fit.

Ah. Weird. Why not just have the log be on the right all the time?
