Hi, I'm new here and I was wondering what are golems and what do they do?

A golem in essence doubles your resources. Take for example the Clay Golem. You build it with 50 clay and over the course of 10 days, it will give you 100 clay back (10 clay every day). After this time it will collapse, however the recipe you used to build it isn't used up, so you can just build a new one for another 50 clay.

This isn't entirely true for food golems, they yield 3,33 times the resources needed to build them (e.g. Rabbit Meat golem needs 150 rabbit meat to build but gives 500 during it's lifespan, 50 each day).

This means that golems are a great extra way to gain resources that you don't immediately need.

Oh, I didn't know those can be crafted time after time again. Hmm, is there a limit how many times those recipes can be used?

And are there other similar schemes, or is onl golems re-craftable?

As far s I know there is no limit. I have used a few of my golem recipes quite a few times by now and they're still there. I understand it that any and all recipes stay once you've learned them. It's just that recipes like the buildings, you can't use anymore once you built them. But schemes for pendants, compass, ruby rings, statues or bandages, etc., etc., you can build as many as you would like from those.
