Well, part of why I chose Finnish is because my favorite band is Nightwish. They're Finnish and most of their songs are written in English, but I'd like to be able to understand the ones they write in Finnish. They just sound so lovely.
I also found out it's the only language that has more vowels than consanents during normal conversation, so it sounds very melodic and lovely.
