Okay, so I want to get into catching wild animals and when I go to send out catchers, I can only send out one for today even though I have many licenses and hired many catchers. Some days I'm only allowed to send out 2 instead of 3 catchers and sometimes I'm only allowed to send out 1 like today.
Why can I only send out one catcher today when I have many licenses and hired many different catchers? I don't get it at all.

You need to have space enough in your lair for every catcher you place to bring home a pet. If you only have one space left, you can only place one catcher.

Pella, you have only one free place in your stables. For every catcher sent to expedition you need a free stable place.
