I have one adult and 3 babies with no red stats, but they're all fancy colors so they would be pricey: (I'd love to be paid in vermillion BTW, though silver is also good).

I'm quite new and I'm not sure, but I don't think they are curable. You can use the mutagen to try to get the red gene swaped, but it is hard..

Red genes can be compensated for with food, not cured. The compensation affects combat and quests, not offspring.
