Under the gene Berserker's description it says that when the pet goes berserk it has a 50% chance to increase strength by 75%. What causes the pet to go berserk?

Is the pet berserk by default, making this effect always active, or does it have a chance at going berserk every turn?

If the later, do when know what the percent chance is?

I think the pet is berserk by default, and after every turn there is a 50% chance to go berserk (which increases strength by 75%)

Not certain about this,  but when I tried battling with my berserker lykos this is how it went:

Went Berserk

Regular Attack

Regular Attack

Went Berserk

As you can see the probability of going berserk is, LOL, 50%

You making the pet attack someone is what causes it to go berserk, because its strength increases after its successful attack (it needs to attack to have that gene function).

(calm by design and berserker while attacking with greater strength afterwards.)
