Is there a certain biotrope best to find them in? I'm having a God awful time collecting them right now!

I kept some statistics last year. Jungle gave slightly more eggs than others, but the difference was minor. They're all about one in five chance of coloured eggs per guardian monster defeated, about 0.5 coloured eggs on average per island explored.
