So, just yesterday, my Roc Tris as well as my new born Gryph still had the gene combo for 'Counterstrike', ignoring the fact that only one of the needed genes was dominant and the other one passive. Now, fwoosh, its gone.
I am, to say the least, quite... pissed :/
So did it just happen without a notification and was planned, or is it a bug?
No matter what, my awesome girls just both lost the one thing making me go 'squee' over them :/

It was a bug that Counterstrike was ever an ability for those pets if one of the things was only carried.
It was fixed here http://beastkeeper.com/thread/1373 since really it was a bug.
(Naja wenigstens kannst du ja immer noch züchten )

Thorai, it was only a wrong description. Like seph already said, it was fixed a while ago. You may have noticed that actually your pet never expressed this combo effect in battle from your battle logs.
Sorry for the confusion.
