I didn't take a screenshot before defeating him, sadly, but it happened on this island. The portal is functional, the guardian behaved as it should, but I still feel like this isn't supposed to happen. They were on the same square, with the guardian on top of the portal.

This happens sometimes just like with treasure chests summoned over the green portals. It's an elusive loophole in the generation logic that we failed to track yet. Sorry for the inconvenience!
