It's only a very small inconvenience, but:
When my inventory is full, I can't pick up food on islands. But since I have the barn, the food wouldn't have taken up inventory slots anyway, so it feels like a strange restriction.
I'd think it would make sense if having the barn allows you to pick up food, no matter how full your warehouse is.
