If you look to the left of the capturing area it shows how many of each type of catcher you have available, but how are these numbers chosen?
For example, I only have a single Bird Catcher, but I have six Reptile Catchers available.

The numbesr are chosen based on how many you hire. You may only have one bird catcher because they ran away during an expedition to "save their life", and you've yet to hire anymore. As far as the Reptile Catchers, you may have hired a lot of them, haha. It's all based on how many of the "Catchers" you hire.

I haven't had a single reptile catcher available for DAYS now. Is that normal?
