With so many available skins (and for so cheap!) I’m wondering if making custom skins would really be profitable. And does making a skin give you a free one, or some other bonus?

Making a custom skin does not give you any bonus and you still have to use Rainbow Jars to wear even your own skin.

Profits ? You can choose what fee do you want other players to pay when wearing your skin (Silver Coins,Gold Coins),and also the price.

I made a few Custom Skins mostly for fun not for the price,and I guess everyone does the same.

Making a skin is not a task required to play this game,you can make it only if you want.

I think if you're good, your skins will get used quite a lot. That will give you extra silver or gold. The real money I should think is in private skins, wherein you can charge 25000-65000 per person per skin. But the site doesn't have as much traffic as it used to, so you do you.

The really easiest way to get silver is questing.
