I'm trying to figure out how to catch wild pets it says you have to buy everything I figured out how to hire and get License but how do you get
equipment

You mean the boat and the climbing gear?
You need to get the schemes for them (usually cheap on the Item Trades) and craft them.
If you look under list of recipes (Help menu) you'll see what you need to make them with.
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
