Try to buy pets that are homozygous and breed with cheap studs that are of same homozygous type, then sell/keep deviants

Beasts with Genetic Power (green stars) have a stat bonus. It doesn't improve their genes but it can really help out in explore and the arena.
Training beasts in the arena is faster but you don't get loot.
You should be about to get good GP pets from 4000-7000 unless they're deviants.
