Unfortunately I claimed the treasure chest so I can't do a screenshot/data dump, but just now, a treasure chest appeared in the top right corner of the Beast Temple on the island I was on. Clicking to go in that direction got me the chest and the pop-up message for the Beast Temple simultaneously. I don't think this is intentional, and while it doesn't really cause any problems (though the graphics of the two overlapping were a bit funny), it should perhaps get corrected for. Has anybody else had this happen, or just me?
