I notice a lot of people have fancy signatures with famous quotes and gifs. But how do you put a GIF into a signature? I know how to edit them, but I don't know how to put a GIF into one. Help please!

You'll have to upload the gif to a website like photobucket and then copy the image into the signature from there.

Arete, if I wanted to put an image as part of my profile, how would I go about it. Is there any way I could put it in without having to sign up to another site?

Well you could just copy it from the original source, but that's hot-linking and uses up their bandwidth, which upsets people. It's better just to get yourself a small imgur account and copy the images from there.
I mean, if you owned a website and had to pay for its bandwidth usage from a server, and one of your images was hotlinked and drew bandwidth even though no one was looking at your site or giving you ad revenue, I think you'd be upset too.
