Hi everyone. I am still fairly new to the site (have been playing for less than a year) and I have never understood how to breed a deviant. Help?

You need two beasts with double colour or pattern genes. So both have to have White/White or Piebald/Piebald, for example.
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What arete says isn't completely correct, although it is the most assured way to get it done.
The main factor is having two parents who posess the same color and pattern genes, even if they aren't Homozygous.
Mother: White/White, Piebald/Cat
Father: White/Black, Piebald/Piebald
While their colors and patterns aren't both the same, they do contain White and Piebald genes. If one of these genes passes down from both parents the baby will have a 10% chance of being a deviant for that color or pattern.
