Dragons and Unicorns

2. Who are the competitors (factions, guilds, beastlords...) and why do they compete

The unicorns in defense of the university and the dragons for the protection of their own secret powers within their scales.

3. Requirements for the participating pets

Constitution for Unicorns, Strength for dragons

4. Bonus for the winning species

If the unicorns win.. cheaper genetics research (50%). If the dragons win.. increased energy cap (30%).

5. Description of the event

Amongst the dragons, the ancient dragons who first came to this land are held in great revere. One particular ancient dragon had befriended a scholarly beast lord and had granted him one treasure from his own hoard. However the beast lord did not want such a thing and asked the ancient one for one of his scales instead. The dragon obliged allowing the beast lord to possess and study a scale.

The rest of the dragons had disagreed with the ancient one's decision but out of reverence, they had done nothing about it. Now due to the recent passing of the ancient dragon, a band of dragons have risen up to retrieve the ancient dragon scale back. Not trusting what sort of powers the information from the ancient dragon scale could bring to humans.

The beast lords of the university sent out a plea assuring them that the research is purely for scholarly purposes, but the dragons will not believe them so easily. The unicorns have reared up to help defend the university due to a debt they owed the university for saving their forests aeons ago.

Will you join the unicorns in defending the university or will you aid the dragons in retrieving what was once theirs from potential nefarious deeds?

2. Who and why: The University and the Conclave of Warlocks are competing over the access to newly revealed rock shelter
3. Requirements: Fearsome Look for Dragon, Gracefulness for Gryphon

5. Description:

The waves of the sea covering our planet have been eroding the shores of our home island since the great floods, changing the coastline and undercutting cliffs. Recently, one of the overhangs collapsed into the sea, revealing a large rock shelter which must have been an undiscovered cavern before.

What is most interesting about the opening is that it holds a whole new biotope populated by animals and fungi not seen anywhere else. As the microclimate of the cave has suddenly changed with its exposition to sun and external conditions all the new organisms will probably soon get displaced by others and vanish so the University wants to take this opportunity and start studies on them as soon as possible. Hovewer, the new discovery has also attracted attention of the Conclave of Warlocks. One of the unique species is a brightly glowing cave mushroom which the warlocks see as a potential source of magic power and are strongly determined to take possession of.

The rock shelter location makes it inaccesible from the ground so both, the University and the Conclave of Warlocks, need flying creatures to get there. The University wants to ask help from Dragons which can scare off any creatures or humans away from the opening while the scientists are doing their research. The Conclave of Warlocks wants to use graceful Gryphons that will be able to avoid the guards and quickly collect the mysterious mushrooms.

There is not much time left before the biotope disappears - first come, first served. The University is looking for Dragons with Fearsome Look while Warlocks ask for Gryphons with Gracefulness. The Beastlords have 7 days to provide them with desired creatures. Who are you going to help?
