Whenever i try to change my avatar, it wont let me, when i hit save preferences, it dosent do anything to it.

Please clear your browser cache. Avatar is an image that doesn't change its name and thus it is stored by your browser in your local memory.

I'm having the same problem but when I clear the my browser cache, I still 

can't change my avatar.

A quick page refreshing works like a charm for me when changing avatars. Enter the new avatar, click save, then refresh.
